What genre would you describe yourself as? Why?
Genres used to be one of the only ways to find and identify with this electronic music. Lately it doesn’t seem to be as much of an advantage to align with any certain genre. Yes we play primarily house music but is that the only thing we will play, No. That along with the vast number of subgenres it just seems better to look at the things we have in common as opposed to the differences.
How did you enjoy playing Deep Down Under?
This year was even better than last, always a great chance to catch up with everyone from Chicago.
Any memorable moments from it?
Funktion One sound was one point as well as the wings.
What artists influence you/do you look up to?
There are too many to name and we moreso take influence from the community as a whole. We aren’t really trying to be like any certain act but we are always taking cues from the community.
What is your proudest moment so far? (blogged/signed/etc..)
Playing at Movement in 2017 on the Pyramid Stage with all of our parents watching is pretty up there. Oh and Griz came out and tagged with us too.
What DAW do you use?
Ableton 10 Suite
What are some of your favorite plug-ins?
Serum, Omnisphere, Waves Bundle.
What is something you cannot leave home without (besides keys, phone, wallet)?
Long days and nights in entertainment can take quite a toll on your body. What are some of your self care practices?
Plenty of rest when we are home, main thing is to relax when you can so you can perform when you have to.
If you had to do something else (outside of music), what would it be?
Play Golf full time.
What was your favorite show that you’ve played?
What’s your current favorite show (tv/Netflix/etc…) worth binging?
Game of Thrones.
Since you are a duo, how would you describe your relationship?
How would you describe your personalities on and off the stage?
‘Pretty high energy on and off the stage’ – Hugh
‘Quiet and calculated off stage and super high energy on stage’ – Bryan
If you were stranded on a desert island, what album would you have with you?
None because we don’t have a record player. We would construct and invent new instruments out of whatever we could find.
What is a quote or phrase that you try to live by? Why?
Always live in balance.
